Beaker Button texture packs are perfect for making big Dorset buttons, weaving into your work, couching onto slow stitch, knitting, crocheting, felting, embellishing all sorts of things, and blinging up your projects.
The first button tree in the photos was made with one pack, on a 6" hoop so you can see how far a pack will go. The other photo is what I used for my tree. Both are for illustrative purposes. The listing if for the threads only.
There is a YouTube tutorial for making a tree brooch here, which you can adapt to make a larger tree like mine.
5 skeins of hand spun (mine normally), hand dyed, or novelty wool. Each skein is 5m at least, so that's 25m of textured lovelyness to play with. Thickness will vary depending on the pack, mostly between Aran weight and super chunky. Hand wash in cold water is recommended as some of the fibres will felt.
