This booklet is designed to allow you to play with button making and to create something uniquely yours. Therefore I haven’t given you step by step instructions for making the tree in the picture. Instead you have several Dorset button patterns which you can adapt to make a tree of your choice, and some helpful advice about how I made my tree.

You will need Blunt and sharp large eyed needles, embroidery hoop, yarn and threads in a variety of weights, fibres and colours, a large button bobbin, and small closed rings suitable for button making. This is a great way to use up your stash!
