The wpi Finesse gauge takes inspiration from the original design arising from an inspirational meeting with expert lace crafters during Shetland Wool Week 2016, which has now become the preferred method of measuring and showing fine yarns. This next generation product is a dual sided tool intended for assessment of the Yarn gauge of the finest quality yarn. The gauge is intentionally different and allows both the immediate simple visual comparison and separate measurement of wraps per inch of both Lace Weight and the finer Cobweb Weight, avoiding the time and tedium of winding a full one-inch sample. This Gauge can be used directly at the point of spinning without breaking the yarn. It may be hung from the ring clip provided on your spinner for convenience or carried in a bag.
