Grindle and Dorset Knob buttons are both made by stitching around a button mould. They are beautiful and delicate, and make wonderful embellishments to any textile piece. This kit comes with instructions for both buttons, and materials for 4 - 6 buttons depending on size. They take a little skill with a needle but are not difficult to make.
Each Dorset button kit comes with a written instruction sheet supported by colour photographs throughout, wadding, cotton thread suitable for Dorset button making, cotton cloth, and a needle. Everything you need to make four to six buttons. Our kit materials are washable in the machine (Always wash Dorset buttons first before attaching to a garment or project, to ensure dye fastness). Each kit comes packed in a plastic free cloth bag, made locally and often from recycled materials.
