This workshop is designed to show you how to make Dorset buttons but on a grand scale! There are several designs you can make including trees, Mount Fuji, wave, meadow, peacock, or beaded spirals. Or you could design your own with guidance from us.
You will need a selection of thicker threads (DK or Aran is good), yarn needles, button bobbin or shuttle, scissors, a 10cm hoop, sewing threads, sewing needles, smaller rings, fabric scraps. Not all hoops will need all the above. Contact us for a more tailored requirements list if you have a specific idea of what you’d like to make. Materials and needles are available to buy from us if you prefer.
You can bring up to 6 people for this workshop. The price is for the time, not per person. Let us know how many before the day. A one hour lunch break has been included in this workshop, which has not been charged for.
